There's no disco without Planescape, it's really the first "wait, shit we can just have these things well written?"

Planescape is one of the best. Im so sad it didnt lead to more CRPGs based on DnD's other atypical settings. I'd kill for a spelljammer game.

BG2's Planar Sphere stronghold quest where you have to deal with a bunch of knights from Krynn and Dark Sun guys who have been brought to Toril is so fun, really wish we got more of that in later games.
