Crimson Empire, pretty good beginning and weird ending

After finishing Dark Empire, I started Crimson Empire and got a good impression. But listening to the audio drama, I felt that Kir Kanos did actually have a conflict about his duty to the Emperor during the comic and it was not just the imagination of the rebels. I guess the artist didn't know how to capture it in the comic.

But well, the second comic is not very memorable and has a development, in my opinion, hasty for the path of Kir Kanos and Mirith Sinn. And the third comic, finally relate to the protagonists of the OT but it still feels like a forgettable story.

Kir Kanos went through all the phases of redemption and self-discovery but I don't feel that it has been approached in the story as such. I know there are extra comics but the main run shouldn't go without showing it

Personally I hated Crimson Empire, I thought it had the same linear quality decline as Dark Empire, but continued along from Empire's End.
