Realis, a new ttrpg from Austin Walker, has hit Kickstarter. The game is a dicefree conversation-based system simulating character evolution and growth, inspired by the character arcs of Berserk, Book of the New Sun, and the Original Trilogy, among others!

And here is the early ashcan release from last year if you want to play a version of it yourself right now.

I have really enjoyed Friends at the Table playing it, it seems exactly the type of bizarre collaborative storytelling that I love.

Huh, that's interesting! I didn't really enjoy Realis when I tried it, I wonder if the full release will be better?

This was an instant back for me. I've listened to a few seasons of Friends at the Table, and have always loved Walker & Co's take on ttrpgs. But also, the artist lineup is phenomenal. I mean they got Conner Fawcett? Linnea Sterte?? Incredible lineup.

I would take the most annoying DnDoid over a diceless sologamer any day. Some things were just not meant to be

I'm pretty bearish on conversational rpg systems, but Austin Walker and crew have a solid history of crunchy gameplay.

I think i'm just broadly a fiction first gamer, so i'm always more interested in something that's being a little different
